Meet Ambassador: Anika Green
My name is Anika Green. I am from Kerikeri in Northland, New Zealand. I live on a dairy farm with my parents and I have 2 older sister who are both at university. My mum is German and my dad is a Kiwi.
I have travelled to Germany and Europe many times and also spent 2 longer periods in Germany. Once when I was 6 years old and the last time when I was 14 years old. Both times I stayed with my uncle and his family and went to the local school in Ravensburg, in the South of Germany. I really enjoyed the experience even though some days were hard as my German is not that great. My life in Germany was very different as I lived in a medium size town with public transport, so you could have a lot more freedom as you didn’t need a ride to any activity or to see friends.
I am now in year 12 at Kerikeri High School. In my spare time I do athletics, play tennis or hang out with my friends. I love living in Northland with its beautiful beaches, lots of sunshine and friendly people. Also I love studying at my school, Kerikeri High School, as they have a good selection of subjects but also offer lots of extra-curricular activities, so there is something for everyone.
