Meet Student Ambassador: Abigail Seakins

We talked to Abigail, one of our kiwi ambassadors from Whangarei Girls’ High School about living in Northland.

Hi, my name is Abigail Seakins, I am 18-years-old, in year 13 and go to Whangarei Girls’ High School. I live near a beach 30 minutes north-east from Whangarei with my mum, dad, my two brothers and our two turtles. 

I love living in Northland as there are lots of beaches at your fingertips and there are cool activities to take part in. Growing up in Northland, I have been lucky and have had good experiences. 

We are hosting our first ever international student at the moment and, while it has been strange having him around, we are fortunate to have him. It is fascinating to learn about his culture and I enjoy having another younger brother.
