Sailing on the R Tucker Thompson Tallship
We ended 2021 in style with all our international students and student ambassadors on the R. Tucker Thompson tallship in the Bay of Islands.
Students from all around the world didn’t hesitate to climb up the mast, out on the bow sprite with some even jumping off the boat and swimming to shore. The whole day was a testament to their enthusiasm and confidence in making the most of all the opportunities studying abroad has to offer.
Huge thanks to the captain Wayne, Ness and all the crew on R Tucker Thompson. They were relaxed and professional and so great at making sure everyone was involved in helping sail. Students got to hoist sails up and down and steer the boat, amongst other things which got everyone really engaged in the experience.
