Meet Student Ambassador: Sajith Gaffoor

Sajith is from Sri Lanka and is studying at NorthTec while living in Whangarei. He is one of our 2020 Study Northland Student Ambassadors.

What made you choose Northland?

It represents the essence of New Zealand and it’s relatively warmer than other parts of New Zealand.

What do you love most about studying at school in New Zealand?

New Zealand is a gracious and a welcoming country, people are warmer here. One of the well managed countries in the world with a fabulous system in place. I find New Zealand close to my personality. 

What are you studying and what job would you like to do when you graduate?

Graduate Diploma in Business Analysis. 

After graduating, I want to become a Business Analyst or Project Manager. I look forward to merging business with information technology to produce robust results. 

What are your favourite experiences in Northland?

Hiking, meeting new people, helping the local community and learning from it, admiring the nature, cycling. 

What is like living in Northland?

Quiet, laid back & relaxed. 

What are your interests, sports and hobbies?

Dancing, reading, swimming, rugby, cricket, performing arts and music.
