Meet Student Ambassador - Pablo Pérez

Pablo is from Spain and is studying at Kerikeri High School while living with a host family in Kerikeri. He is one of our 2020 Study Northland Student Ambassadors.

Hello! My name is Pablo Pérez and I come from Spain. I am 18 years old and I am taking a Gap year in New Zealand.

The reason of choosing Northland was basically because of the School. In School, all the International students are welcomed in the school “family” . Also I love the way of teaching all the subjects because its more like you learn on your own and I really think that you learn more like that.

My favourite things about Northland are the beautiful beaches and bays like Opito Bay for example, also I love the people (they are all very nice).

Living with a host family could be a real challenge but and the end you have to be lucky, I really can’t say nothing bad about mine, they are all lovely people that are always taking care of my host brother and me so at the end is like being at home.

I love practicing horse riding, windsurfing and skiing. So hopefully I would practice those sports while I’m here.
