Meet Student Ambassador: Bill

Bill is from China and is studying at Kerikeri High School while living with a kiwi host family in Kerikeri. He is one of our 2021 Study Northland Student Ambassadors so we asked him a few questions about kiwi life.

What made you choose Northland?
The weather is pleasant and Kerikeri High School was recommended to me.

What do you love most about studying at school in New Zealand? 
The education, the teachers and the kiwi culture.

What do you love most about Kerikeri High School?
I like my teachers and my kiwi friends

What are your favourite experiences in Northland? 
Going to the beach, Tapuaetahi is my favourite beach with the lagoon.

What is like living with a homestay family?  
Its pretty good!  My host mum is a lovely person and she is a great cook.  We have a dog which is a new experience for me, in China I can only have a turtle!

What are your interests, sports and hobbies? 
Basketball, Photography and going to the Gym.

What is your favourite local place to hang out with friends? 
Anywhere in Kerikeri is fun when I’m with my friends.
